(“GDPR”) and enable Audiology Planet, which is Trading name for Ace India Limited (“We” or “Us”) to use the personal information about you (“You”) as described below.
In order to perform audiology assessment, deliver, service and maintain your ear, hearing and balance devices (the “Purpose”) We need your consent (the “Consent”) to collect and process the following data about You: Name, address, phone number, email, date of birth, results from hearing/balance tests and other clinical activity that you are seen for. Data can be transferred to our business partners, suppliers, sub-contractors, and service providers, such as for payment processing, insurers, medical professionals and secretary teams, third-party debt collectors for the purposes of debt collection, delivery companies for the purposes of transportation, and other organisations providing IT systems and support (the “Third Parties”) etc.
We share clinical information about you with other medical professionals as necessary for your treatment. Medical professionals working with us might be our employees, professionals working within NHS e.g. Hospital Consultant and GP, Nurse etc. or they might be independent consultants in private practice. In the case of independent Consultants, the Consultant is the data controller of your personal data, either alone or jointly with us and will be required to maintain their own records in accordance with Data Protection Laws and applicable clinical confidential guidelines and retention periods. Where that is the case, we may refer you to that Consultant to exercise your rights over your data.
If the practitioners treating you believe it to be clinically advisable, we may also share information about your treatment with your GP. You can ask us not to do this, in which case we will respect that request if we are legally permitted to do so, but you should be aware that it can be potentially very dangerous and/or detrimental to your health to deny your GP full information about your medical history, and we strongly advise against it.
The information that the Third Parties typically receives is your audiology report with details of assessment and management approach including the personal and clinical data obtained.
We collect and process the personal data described above (“Your Data”) to achieve the purpose described above (“Purpose”) in this consent (“Consent”) on the following conditions:
- We collect and process Your Data on basis of Your consent, which constitutes a legal ground pursuant to article 9(2)(a) of GDPR.
- The recipients of Your Data are: Third Parties, Data Processors, such as IT-service providers and other companies providing services and they will only (i) get access on a need basis and (ii) use Your Data to achieve the Purpose, and Governmental bodies, if required by law or applicable legislation
- As part of the processing, Your Data may be transferred outside of EU. In such case, this will happen on the basis of standard data protection clauses adopted by the EU Commission, cf. article 46 (2) (c) of GDPR. - Your Data will be stored for as long as it is necessary to provide services in relation to your hearing aid unless applicable law requires Us to delete it before or store it for a longer period of time.
Please be informed that you may withdraw Your Consents at any time, in which event We will
cease processing Your Data and delete it (unless we are obligated to keep it). Withdrawal of Your Consent can be done by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or writing us to Audiology Planet, 39 Redbud Road, Tonbridge, Kent UK TN9 1FX. You may also contact us in case of questions or other queries related to the collection and processing of Your Data.
Queries could, for example, include exercising rights according to GDPR to access Your Data, to object to processing, to withdraw your consent (as described above), to request rectification or erasure of Your Data, or to request restriction of processing.

In addition to your right to contact Us mentioned above, you are entitled to lodge complaints related to the processing of Your Data with the Supervisory Authority.
